Upcoming application deadline tropEd Global Health Summer School!

Published on July 3, 2026

The tropEd Global Health Summer School 2026 will be organised between 31 Aug - 4 Sept 2026.

Every year, the Summer School takes participants on a journey around the globe with a freshly designed programme. This year: fifteen sessions, multiple perspectives, and tropEd member institutions from Thailand, Tanzania, Venezuela, Mali, Vietnam, Spain, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Switzerland joining forces to cover topics ranging from Malaria, Arboviruses, HIV and TB to Vaccine Equity, from Child Health Rights and Migrant Health to Commercial Determinants of Health, Domestic Violence, Implementation Research, and more.

We will have an ITM session on 'Sustainable approaches to infectious disease control and elimination' with ITM researcher Katja Polman.

As every year, John Amuasi will open the Summer School with his signature introduction to Global Health — and new this year, there will have a dedicated keynote by Daniela Fusco on gender norms and health care utilisation, a topic at the heart of health equity.

The event is fully online, participation is for free, open to participants worldwide — including colleagues and students from tropEd institutions, incliding ITM.

📅 Application deadline: 15 July 2026
