The Union World Conference on Lung Health 2025: upcoming abstract submission deadline and ITM alumni travel grants available!

This is a special call to the ITM alumni for abstract submission to the 2025 edition of the Union World Conference on Lung Health that will take place in-person from 18-22 November in Copenhagen.  

 The 2025 Conference Call for abstract deadline for submission -  09 April, 2025 – is approaching.

We encourage alumni to consider submission of abstracts about challenges linked to DR-TB care. If you have interesting data or case reports, it is worth to think about how to share your observations and experiences with the wider public.

ITM Alumni grants

The ITM Alumni Network supports alumni to attend international scientific meetings and will promote alumni participation in the Union World Conference on Lung Health 2025. We strongly encourage ITM alumni to participate in this call and submit an abstract. Only those ITM alumni with a selected abstract (for oral or e-poster presentation) and without funding granted by the Union Conference or other institutions and donors, can apply for an ITM alumni travel grant to attend The Union Conference 2025.

ITM alumni grants include: registration fee, visa, per diem, travel and accommodation costs.  A grant can only be awarded to alumni being a resident and national of a country on the most recent version of the OECD/DAC list of ODA recipients.

Please note that there is a limited number of grants available for ITM alumni to participate in the Union Conference 2025. We strongly encourage women (ITM alumnae) to apply.  

If you wish to apply for an ITM alumni grant after the selection of your abstract, make sure to send us your (i) motivation letter, (ii) CV, and (iii) letter of acceptance from The Union by 30 June 2025 to  [email protected]. 

ITM will have the opportunity to organise as well an ‘ITM alumni meeting‘ in the fringes of The Union conference in Copenhagen. More information will follow in due time.
